Gemstone Size
Your engagement ruby ring is now available with two gemstone sizes and shapes. You can choose from size 6mm or 7mm and select a round or square gemstone. The gemstone size selection should consider your budget and also the ring size. Gemstones like rubies, sapphires, emeralds and tanzanite have a steeper price tag as the gemstone size increases. For the RG103 ruby engagement ring, the center gemstone size is not very large and this allows you to get a good engagement ring at a modest price tag.
Gold Weight

Our designers and craftsmen gave special attention to this and did a tremendous job by almost doubling the weight from 4 grams to a healthy 7 to 10 grams. The engagement ruby ring gets added durability and strength and will not dent or bend easily. The center gemstone and side diamonds are also mounted more firmly with this additional weight. Gemstone Choice
It is very possible that you love the design of this gorgeous ruby engagement ring but prefer another gemstone. Our strict quality standards classify gems as medium grade while most jewellers would call the same grade as 'good'. For the 6mm gemstone size, select the high grade option only if you are looking for something very spectacular and extravagant. You need not be limited to the gemstone options provided on our website, let us know if you need a gemstone not mentioned here and we will procure and custom cut it for you.
Gold Options
The gorgeous color of the gemstone would make a stunning white gold ruby engagement ring or an engagement ruby gemstone ring in yellow gold. Choosing yellow or white gold for a ruby ring is based largely on personal preference. However, you also need to make a choice between 14k or 18k gold when ordering your engagement ring. 14k gold is much harder than 18k gold and therefore more durable, consider this when making a selection of your ruby gem stone ring. At Kaisilver we provide options for 14k and 18k gold and the same price is maintained for white gold or yellow gold.
Other Options For Diamonds
This ruby diamond engagement ring would look equally gorgeous with other gemstones instead of the side diamonds. White sapphires are a good substitute for diamonds since they are almost as hard as diamonds and cost much less. You could also try other color combinations like a deep blue topaz gemstone in the center and Burmese rubies instead of the diamonds. There is also an option for enhanced diamonds, these are genuine diamonds which are treated for color. Green blue diamonds, brown diamonds and yellow diamonds are the popular colors of enhanced diamonds. The physical properties of the diamonds do not change with the treatment so, the hardness and strength of diamonds remains the same.

The price remains the same for yellow or white gold options. White sapphires, refers to replacing the diamonds in the ring with good quality genuine white sapphires. Other gemstones that can be selected instead of the diamonds include, rubies, sapphires, pink tourmaline, emeralds, blue topaz, green tourmaline, red garnet and tanzanite. The price for these gems remains the same as the white sapphire option. If you would like to replace the 2.5mm diamonds with 3mm size diamonds, please add 600 U.S$ to the above prices.
A ruby engagement ring would not be a cheap ring as rubies are expensive gemstones. If you are more interested in a red color gemstone and not particular about it being a ruby, you could consider other gems like red garnet or even red spinel. The red spinel option would be priced the same as the aquamarine or green tourmaline option. Similarly a green gemstone could be a peridot, green tourmaline, tsavorite, emerald or green sapphire. We can also provide chrome diopside as an option but, would like to mention that chrome diopside is not a very durable gemstone and is therefore not suitable for rings. If you were considering blue gems for your engagement ring, blue topaz, blue sapphire, kayanite or blue tourmaline could be possible options.
